Xiaomi Launches REDMI Note 15 Series in Kenya With Titan Durability and Bigger Batteries
Xiaomi has officially unveiled the REDMI Note 15 Series, introducing three new smartphones to the Kenyan market — REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G, REDMI Note 15 Pro, and REDMI Note 15.
The new lineup debuts REDMI Titan Durability, a reinforced design philosophy focused on longer battery life, improved drop resistance, and enhanced dust and water protection, while also delivering major upgrades in imaging, performance, and display quality.
Titan Durability Sets a New Standard
REDMI Note 15 Series is engineered for everyday resilience, with durability upgrades spanning the entire lineup.
At the top, REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G features a 6,500mAh Silicon-Carbon (SiC) battery, a first for the REDMI Note series, paired with 100W HyperCharge and 22.5W reverse charging. The SiC technology allows higher energy density while maintaining a slim profile and is rated to retain 80% capacity after 1,600 charge cycles, equivalent to roughly six years of typical use.
REDMI Note 15 Pro also benefits from a large SiC battery, while REDMI Note 15 comes with an upgraded 6,000mAh battery, ensuring all-day endurance across the range.
Reinforced Build and Water Resistance
Structural durability is significantly improved. REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G has earned SGS Premium Performance Certification, confirming resistance to drops, crushing, and bending. It uses Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2 and a reinforced internal frame capable of surviving drops of up to 2.5 metres.
In protection against the elements, REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G achieves IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, with TÜV-certified water-resistance for immersion up to 2 metres for 24 hours. The rest of the series offers enhanced splash and dust resistance, supported by Wet Touch 2.0, allowing screen use even with wet fingers.
200MP Camera Leads Imaging Upgrade
Photography sees a major leap forward. REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G debuts a 200MP main camera with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor, offering 2× and 4× optical-level in-sensor zoom and advanced AI processing for sharper images in all lighting conditions.
The Pro models support five focal lengths (23mm–92mm) from a single lens, while REDMI Note 15 features a 108MP camera with 3× optical-level zoom, covering everyday shooting needs from wide landscapes to portraits.
AI tools such as AI Remove Reflection, AI Beautify, Dynamic Shots 2.0, and AI Creativity Assistant simplify editing and enhance image quality across the series.
Stronger Performance and Smarter AI
REDMI Note 15 Pro+ 5G is powered by the Snapdragon® 7s Gen 4 processor and introduces the Xiaomi IceLoop cooling system, delivering faster heat dissipation and stable performance.
All models support Google Gemini and Circle to Search, while the Pro+ integrates Xiaomi HyperAI for more personalised AI features. Pro models also gain Xiaomi Offline Communication, enabling kilometre-level voice communication even without mobile network coverage.
Large Displays and Loud Audio
The series features large AMOLED displays, with the Pro+ offering a 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED panel and the other models featuring 6.77-inch displays, all with up to 3,200 nits peak brightness and advanced eye-care certifications.
Audio performance is boosted with 400% volume amplification on the Pro+ and 300% on other models, supported by dual speakers and Dolby Atmos.
