Fake Police Recruitment Allegations

According to the prosecution, the three falsely pretended that they were in a position to issue a police recruitment calling letter to Halan Kipkoech, a representation they allegedly knew to be false.

The court heard that the accused persons jointly obtained the money on December 11, 2025, at Hacienda Hotel in Nairobi, together with other persons who are yet to be arrested.

Forged NPS Documents

Kimeli and Simiyu were further charged with making a fake National Police Service calling letter, which was purported to have been issued by the NPS and signed by the Inspector General of Police.

They are also accused of making a false NPS docket number, which was similarly purported to bear the signature of the Inspector General.

The prosecution maintains that the documents were forged with the intention of deceiving the complainant into believing that he had been successfully recruited into the police service.

Bail Terms

Chief Magistrate Onyina released the accused persons on a cash bail of Sh300,000 each, pending hearing and determination of the case.

The matter will be mentioned for further directions.
