According to the prosecution, Mburu, together with another suspect not before court, conspired to defraud John Ng’ang’a Wanyoike of Land Parcel No. Ruiru East Block 1/T-627, measuring approximately 0.0800 hectares.
The property is valued at about Sh23 million.
Prosecutors told the court that the offence was committed on an unknown date and at an unknown place within the country. They allege that Mburu fraudulently transferred the land to his own name by falsely pretending that he had lawfully purchased it—claims the prosecution says he knew to be false.
Bail Granted
After pleading not guilty, the accused was released on bail, pending the hearing and determination of the criminal case.
The matter will proceed to hearing as investigations into the alleged land fraud continue.
