Residents of Sohail Court Apartments in Kilimani are demanding answers following an attempted house break-in during the Christmas period and the subsequent release of a key suspect by police.

According to a complaint filed by one of the residents, the attempted burglary was not a random act but appeared to be carefully planned by individuals familiar with the estate.

The complainant alleges that those involved included:

• A private security guard assigned to the estate

• A carpenter who frequently undertakes repair jobs within the compound

• A boda boda rider

• Individuals allegedly linked to the estate’s management

The complainant claims that a guard from Sky Patrol Security, who was on duty at the time, played a central role in the attempted break-in.

Residents also allege that the carpenter continues to move freely within the estate and has allegedly boasted that he cannot be arrested due to his political connections—claims that have intensified anxiety among tenants.

In a message shared as part of the complaint, the resident stated:

“Over Christmas, there was a brazen house break-in attempt at Sohail Court along Wood Avenue, Kilimani. The bizarre part is that it allegedly involved a security guard, a carpenter known within the compound, a boda boda rider and workers linked to management. A prominent politician is said to be pulling strings to ensure investigations die quietly. Despite clear CCTV footage, no action has followed.”

Residents say accountability is critical to ensure safety and prevent future incidents.
