Kabuchai Ward MCA Eric Wekesa has expressed his gratitude to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Bungoma Central following the arrest of the prime suspect linked to the killing of his close friend, popularly known as Tabley.
In a statement, Wekesa confirmed that the suspect—described as a dangerous armed individual—was apprehended during a coordinated police operation and is currently in custody after sustaining a gunshot wound during the arrest.
The MCA called for calm among residents and supporters, urging the public to allow law enforcement agencies to complete investigations and ensure all those responsible for violence or injuries during the election period are brought to justice.
Wekesa further extended a message of reconciliation, inviting leaders—including former candidate Hon. Vincent Maunda—to join hands in prioritising service delivery and promoting unity in Kabuchai Ward.
“After a highly tense election, I pray for reconciliation and healing in our ward,” he said, thanking residents for the privilege of serving them.
He reiterated his commitment to fostering peace, stability, and development in the region.
