Collins Serut Among Four Charged in Kileleshwa Assault Case
A Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) official has been charged in connection with an alleged assault in Nairobi.
Collins Serut appeared in court alongside Adams Kinyokye Serut, George Njoroge Mbugua, and businessman Stephen Mburu Muhia.
The four are accused of assaulting Brian Cheruiyot Rop in Kileleshwa.

Details of the Alleged Assault
According to the charge sheet, the incident happened on November 19, 2024.
The alleged assault took place along Mandera Road in Kileleshwa, Nairobi County.
Prosecutors claim the accused persons jointly caused grievous harm to Rop.
However, the four denied the charges when they appeared before the Milimani Law Courts.

Court Appearance at Milimani
The case was heard before Milimani Principal Magistrate Rose Ndombi.
During the plea taking, each accused person denied the offence.
As a result, the court released them on cash bail of Sh100,000 each.
What Happens Next?
The prosecution told the court that it intends to call three witnesses.
Therefore, the matter will proceed to hearing on a date set by the court.
Meanwhile, the Collins Serut assault case continues to attract attention due to the involvement of a KRA official.
The court is expected to hear further evidence as the case moves forward.
